About Kouamé N’Guessan “Béranger”

Quite facetious, kind and always with a little smile in the corner of his lips, Kouamé was Yves’ alter-ego, both similar to him and different… These two were always together, but never agreed… Capable of the most beautiful kindnesses towards the youngest whom he was often protecting against the older ones, he was both the one who, without really being mean, “traumatized” them the most… Little sneaky chores without the coaches’ knowledge, but without malice, “Béranger” was convinced that it was necessary to “forge” the character of his little brothers to arm them to face the harsh reality of the football world…. These same little brothers, when they denounced him, more out of sympathy and affection than out of fear, automatically became his first lawyers when he was summoned before the coaches.

Today he has become a real big brother for the most part…. It is said that during the first holidays following his entry into the JMG Mali Academy, Béranger did not hesitate (with Yves, again!!!!) to wander around the neighbourhood, with the course booklet under his arms, with prominent “Football Technology” lessons, proud to be recognized as JMG Academicians, future professionals…
