June 1999

Alerted by the success of the academic experience of Ivory Coast, the president of the Malagasy Republic, Ratsiraka, wishes that in his country such an initiative takes place. The group “Bolloré” then close to the Academy of Abidjan is concerned and in agreement with the Malagasy political authorities, he launched a study to achieve an identical experiment in Madagascar, based on the same principles:
“Recruit, reunite and train a football elite in Madagascar, while striving to make these players men as complete and educated in life as performing on a field.” The Academy “Ny Antsika-JMG” will be placed under the technical authority of the company JMGAcademie custodian of knowledge in the training and management of this project.

June 2000

The decision is made to establish the infrastructure of this new academy in Antsirabe.

October 2000

Detection, screening and selection of the first Malagasy academicians by Jean-Marc Guillou and Olivier Guillou according to the technical criteria:
• Evaluation in the 7 big cities of different provinces of Madagascar (Antananarivo, Tamatave, Diégo Suarez, Fianarantsoa, Antsirabé, Tulear, Majunga) of more than 10000 young players,
• Preselections of 36 young people,
• Final selection of 9 players to be part of the first class

February 2001

Effective start of classes (sports training and school education).

April 2001

The Bolloré group sells the majority of its stake in Coralma to the British group Imperial Tobacco which takes over.

2002

Integration of a complement of players for the first promotion which passes to 18 students.

September 2003

Integration of a second class of 10 students and extension of reception and training facilities (dormitories, classroom and training ground).

2003

Creation of a “Académie-JMG” club, to allow players to participate in official competitions.

2004

Participation in the championship of 2nd division and accession in 1st division.
Participation of 4 players (Claudio, Philo, Rodrigue and Roger) in the international tournament of Rezé (France) with the Academy of Abidjan. Finalist of the tournament.

2005

First participation in the 1st division championship.
Second place in the ranking, and participation in the National phase
Elimination in the first round of the National phase
Elimination in 1 / 32e of the Madagascar Cup
Season: 21 Matches, 13 Wins, 5 Draws, 3 Losses, 52 Goals scored, 20 Goals conceded.
First U 20 Selections for Claudio, Carlos, Tovo and Melin
Integration of a complement of players for the second promotion which passes to 16 students.

2006

First participation in the pool of AS, Vice Champion of Madagascar.
