Fodé Doucouré, who has played ten times in Ligue 1 Uber Eats since his arrival at Stade de Reims in 2019, is joining Red Star, the Parisian club founded by Jules Rimet, to whom he has been on loan since last January. The club announced the transfer via its website.
A new experience in France for Fodé Doucouré
Fodé Doucouré, who trained at the Jean-Marc Guillou Academy in Bamako, which is renowned for nurturing the best African talent, has moved down two levels to give his career a new lease of life. The 21-year-old Malian defender, appreciated for his “qualities as a fast and solid counter-attacker”, played three games under Oscar Garcia before moving to the Parisian suburbs. Only 15 matches in National 1 were enough for the Ile-de-France managers to bet on him. Eager to evolve in a context conducive to his progress, the nugget will be coached for another season by Habib Beye and Pierre Sage, assistant coach. Together and by means of a modern positional game, the two strong men of the sports coordination intend to stabilize the club. In this way, they will ensure that the club will quickly become a credible candidate for Ligue 2.
