Having left OL this summer, Jason Denayer has still not found a club. This should soon be done with a four-year contract at Torino.
Despite three seasons of good and loyal service, Jason Denayer left the OL in a certain indifference. The Belgian defender’s career has been plagued by injuries during his time at the club, and talks about extending his contract have stalled. Denayer, who played just four games in the last six months, left the capital without saying goodbye. The defender, who was free as a bird after the end of his contract with Lyon and has a rather interesting pedigree, was still without a club a month and a half after the transfer market opened.
The defender was seen in Brussels for the friendly between his former club and Anderlecht, and is expected to return to action soon. After England, Scotland, Turkey and France, the Red Devil (35 caps) is set to move to a new country and new league in the next few hours, according to Sky Sport Italia. Denayer has been looking for a club that plays in Europe, but he will be signing for Torino. A four-season contract awaits him on the other side of the Alps, where he is expected to replace Gleison Bremer, who is leaving for neighbouring Juventus.
