FC Sochaux have announced that Moussa Doumbia is to join the Franc-Comtois club after four seasons with Ligue 1 side Reims.
FC Sochaux are in the process of completing the signing of Moussa Doumbia, who is keen to strengthen their attacking options. The 27-year-old Malian has been playing for Reims for the past four years, where his contract has just expired. A hard-hitting left winger, he had enjoyed two very convincing seasons with the club before being hampered by injuries. In 2021-2022, he played very little and needs to be revived.
Moussa Doumbia has more than 80 Ligue 1 games on his CV, plus more than 60 games in the Russian top flight. He is an important addition to Sochaux’s squad, as no member of the yellow and blue team has played as many games in the top flight. The former Rémois player is also a Malian international. He has around forty caps and has played four times in the African Cup of Nations with Mali, the last time in January.
