On the eve of his 34th birthday, Gervais Yao Kouassi alias Gervinho signed a two-year contract with Turkish club Trabzonspor, 4th in the Turkish championship, on Wednesday 26 May 2021.
The Ivorian, international 86 times, leaves Parma (relegated in Italian Serie B), where he played since 2018. This season he scored 5 goals in 28 games. Gervinho made his debut at KSK Beveren and at the Mur 72 where he took off. From 2007 to 2009, the striker played 68 games, including 59 in Ligue 1, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists. He then played for Lille, Arsenal and AS Roma.
