Etoile Sportive du Sahel announced on Tuesday 2 February, the lifting of the recruitment ban imposed by FIFA on the basis of the complaint of its Malian defender, Omar Konate.
ESS sent the documents attesting to the payment of its player’s dues, estimated at 100 thousand euros, to the FIFA dispute resolution chamber on 29 January.
Konate has made 8 appearances for ESS in all competitions this season.
On the same day, Etoile finalised the signing of two Algerian players, including Tayeb Meziani. He has signed with ESS for 18 months.
Tayeb Meziani, 24, is free since the termination of his contract with Esperance of Tunis last October. This winger had joined the club from Bab Souika in December 2018 but he never managed to impose himself in the squad of the Sang et Or and this, despite a very promising start
