Egyptian international left-back Karim Hafez is one of 11 players who were released by Turkish club Kasimpasa during their January reconstruction.
After two years at two different clubs, it seems that Karim Hafez‘s Turkish tour ends with his release by Kasimpasa.
The Istanbul club have struggled on the pitch this season, finding themselves in 14th place and just one point above the relegation zone.
This was greeted with the drastic response of terminating the contracts of 11 members of the team, which also includes Veysel Sarı, Popov, Khalili, Yusuf Erdoğan, Ben Youssef, Heintz, İlhan Depe, Özgür Çek, Jorge Fernandes, Veigneau and Ramazan.
The spell at Kasimpasa was Hafez’s second in Turkey after spending last season on loan at the Istanbul Basaksehir title contenders, although he did not make a significant breakthrough and played mainly in cup matches.
Hafez, in the short term at least, will return to his home club Wadi Degla in the Egyptian Premier League.
