Stade de Reims, who are aiming to finish 12th in the league, travelled to Saint-Etienne on Saturday 14 May for the 37th matchday of Ligue 1. In a deserted Geoffroy-Guichard stadium, due to a closed door imposed by the disciplinary committee of the Professional Football League, Oscar Garcia chose to play with a four-man defence with Thomas Foket and Bradley Locko in the wings. The Spanish coach has also decided to trust young Kamory Doumbia and Mitchell van Bergen in the attack.
The choice was a winning one, as the academy student Kamory “la Toupie” scored his first goal in the 61st minute, the goal that won the match for his club.
