Anas Tahiri started his career at Belgian club Lierse SK, for whom he played 60 matches. In the summer of 2018, Anas Tahiri moved to RKC Waalwijk. In three seasons, the Belgian played 97 official games (six goals and ten assists). During those seasons he wore the captain’s armband but refused to renew his contract. Despite the interest of Betsikas, he joined Romanian club CFR Cluj in the summer of 2021, with the aim of playing in the Europa League.
The adventure with the Romanian champion did not go as planned for Tahiri, in the Champions League preliminaries he appeared twice and at the start of the championship to score immediately, but at the end of August, the coach Cristian Panin was fired; his replacement Dan Petrescu did not use him anymore. After six months, Anas Tahiri decided to leave Romania and return to the Dutch league with SC Heerenveen, signing on for two and a half years.
SC Heerenven has found a successor to Joey Veerman. As soon as Veerman left, Heerenveen negotiated the arrival of academician Anas Tahiri.
Technical manager Ferry de Haan: “After Joey’s departure we are happy to introduce Anas. With his creativity and experience in Dutch football he can be a great asset to us. We have been following Anas for some time and we are happy that he is now choosing for us.”
